“Shelly excels at being an intuitive listener as well as having great empathy with her clients.  You can count on Shelly to express herself honestly when relating to issues needing to be discussed.  Shelly’s personal life exhibits the same amount of integrity that she brings into her coaching sessions.  She walks the talk.”  L.B.  MA, Counselor

Life Coaching will help you to achieve a specific personal or professional result.   Coaching methods used by different coaches are numerous because of the vast number of training models, but are predominantly facilitating in style where the coach mainly asks questions and challenges you to find answers from within yourself based on your values, preferences and unique perspective.

Life Coaching is the new generation of problem solving   Life coaching is different from therapy, in that life coaches deal with present challenges as opposed to healing a long string of past events, which is more appropriate in counseling or therapy.

Coaching is performed with individuals and groups   The common trend in life coaching is conducting sessions over the phone, online or via Skype.  Coaching is most often conducted with one person, however, group sessions can add new perspective with people dealing with the same issues, such as emotional eating, divorce or boundary setting.

Life Coaches ask questions to help you identify your motivation in decision-making                   Some of these may include:

  • Will this decision open up future options or keep me stuck in the past?
  • Will this choice increase or decrease my energy?
  • Does this choice align with my values or will it cause me regret later?
  • Will this choice satisfy me in the long run, or only short term?
  • Is this decision out of self-love or sabotage?

Life Coach Shelly believes that the past situations involving interpersonal skills will show up in present circumstances, and as you solve the present issue, the same tools will also heal the regrets of the past.

Coaching Life is what Life Coaches do best.  Life coaches come from all walks of life, and bring with them their own experiences and methods of problem solving skills.  It is not necessary for your life coach to have walked through your exact experience.  Life coaches do not give advice; they simply ask quality questions to allow you to find the answers that make sense to you, and they help you see the impact of the decisions you make.
