Christian Coaching What is the difference between the “Regular Coaching” and the “Christian Life Coaching” I provide?” There is really no difference. Just like everyone else, Christians need clear thinking, to detach from their “should’s”, “ought’s”, fears and expectations that drive decisions from a place of worry instead of faith and freedom.
My job, with every client, is to understand your values and help you maintain personal integrity in making decisions that line up with the spiritual, emotional and mindful person you were created to be.
Christian Mentoring is different from goal-oriented Life Coaching; in that you must make me aware that you are working on your connection with God in the process of making decisions.
Common issues that may surface from Christian mentoring are:
- You believe you are condemned if you make certain decisions
- You feel dull, and stagnant in areas of your faith and don’t trust you make choices that will please God
- Your prayers go unanswered and you are unsure how to proceed
- You are unsure what God is asking of you and why
- You feel emotionless or numb to follow through in what lines up with your heart’s conviction
- You believe there is a right and wrong answer and are afraid of making the wrong choice
Shelly’s Personal Statement I am a nonjudgmental, Bible-believing Christian. I have released old religious systems that left me on the dry-side of being fully satisfied in my spirit. I live in a reality with God that is strong, loving, exciting, bold, curious and reviving. I live daily with clarity and conviction in spirit, body and mind.
I do not believe my job is to change anyone’s spiritual beliefs. Your coaching experience is completely centered on your values, not mine. My personal faith is disconnected from your coaching sessions unless you request Spiritual Mentoring alongside Life Coaching to work through the challenges you seek during coaching sessions.
